Tugs and Yanks

After a lot of thinking and conversating, I decided to hand in my resignation at my full time job. I am overloaded and stressed because of the distance I travel, and the duties I am responsible for, and feel that I should be closer to home. With the economy the way it is I feel that no one should commute, and I am beginning to believe no one should commute even if the economy wasn't in this state. I will be working full time at starbucks which I have been working at part time to pay for my gas to get to my full time job. I am excited because I like working at starbucks, and it is only 5 minutes from home. I am hoping that this will motivate me to ride my bike more. I feel that this is where God is leading me. This decision is good for my quality of life, the environment, and for Kristen and I to get some time together.
Please pray that we will be in tune with God's call on our lives as we are nearing some big decisions..

rest...and back

This past weekend I was supposed to hit the road with my dad in what would be the first father son adventure since I was in highschool. I was stoked, and ready for a vacation. Unfortunately a few very sad things happened that cancelled this trip that definitely outweighed any disappointed I could have because of not being able to take the trip. What did happen this weekend is what I believe God knew I needed, I got to relax and rest from two jobs, see Kristen and friends that I don't normally get to see. I got to apply for a few jobs and serve by helping some friends with a project. I got to record a new song.

I am back at work today, with the same desire to find a new day job, but today, I am well rested and looking forward to more time off in 17 more days...
